The NSWAFI will be conducting a one-day workshop at the State Coroners Court on Wednesday, 14 October 2015. This will be a training day revolving around court testimony for fire investigators in Australia. Anna Davey from Forensic Foundations will be providing the training. In parallel with this, the NSWAFI is also planning to introduce an Australian version of the IAAI Expert Witness Courtroom Testimony Course to enable applicants for the Certified Fire Investigator program to fulfill the court testimony requirements under "Experience Other (page 3)" of the IAAI-CFI® application process. This course is the first step in compiling an Australian version of this and we will be presenting this to the IAAI to get it approved. If you are a fire investigator and are contemplating the CFI certification, this course will assist you.
