Exciting News! The New South Wales Association of Fire Investigators is pleased to announce that the Australasian Association of Fire Investigators Conference 2024 will take place from Monday 21 October to Wednesday 23 October 2024 at the Western Sydney Conference Centre in Penrith, NSW. The program will involve two days of talks and one practical burn day, with experts Cameron Novak and Richard Woods as keynote speakers.

The Australasian Association of Fire Investigators Conference 2024 Local Organising Committee invites you to submit an abstract for consideration as an oral presentation in the Program. Abstract submissions will close on 19 April 2024. Please ensure you read the submission guidelines carefully prior to submitting.
We will be having two themes that we will be focusing on however we welcome abstracts for all fire investigation related topics:
Lithium ion batteries and Fire Investigation
Wildfire Investigation
Planning is well underway for the AAFI conference in October. This conference is our industry coming together every two years to learn from each other and to network. The best way we can do this is to have a great and engaging program. Could I encourage you to put in an abstract. Case studies are always interesting so it would be great to see some of the jobs you have come across over the past couple of years. This conference will only be as good as the presenters we have presenting to us, so please encourage your colleagues to put one in.
